Please read through the “Khula Vet Terms and Conditions” and “Data Protection Policy” below.
In order for us to comply with POPIA and ensure that your personal information and our intellectual property are protected, we require you to agree to the below terms.

In summary, by enrolling in this course you are agreeing that:

  • You will respect Khula Vet’s intellectual property and use the training material only for your own personal learning and development.
  • You consent to Khula Vet sharing your name, email address and practice name with our industry partners / sponsors who may subsidise or support your course.
  • If your course has been purchased or funded by a third party (for example, your employer or the practice you work for), you consent to Khula Vet sharing your course enrolment status, progress, quiz results and/or certificate of completion with that third party.

By enrolling in this course you will be agreeing to the below terms and conditions and data protection policy.

1. Agreement

By using our website, creating an account, or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy:

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between Khula Vet (Pty) Ltd (“Khula Vet”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and you (the learner and/or the organisation purchasing the course).

If you enrol employees on their behalf, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for them.

2. Description of Training Products

Khula Vet provides:

  • Online training (self-paced learning on LearnDash)
  • Live online sessions (virtual instructor-led)
  • In-person practical workshops (clinical/practical skills training)
  • A combination of the above, depending on the course

We may update course content, structure or pricing at any time.

3. Access to Course Material

  • Access is granted to the individual learner for the duration indicated upon enrolment.
  • Login details may not be shared.
  • Course access does not create ownership of any material.
  • Certificates are issued only where course requirements have been met.

4. Licence to Use Course Material (Intellectual Property)

All course content remains the exclusive intellectual property of Khula Vet and/or its contributors.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use course material for your personal learning only.

You may not:

  • Copy, distribute, share, or reproduce the Training Materials
  • Use the material to train others or create your own workshops
  • Upload course materials to shared drives, online platforms, or groups

Any use outside of personal learning requires written permission from Khula Vet.

5. Data protection:

We at Khula Vet are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and other applicable data protection regulations in South Africa. This consent section aims to inform you about the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data for the purpose of administering your course enrolment and, where applicable, sharing it with sponsors or a third party who has paid for your course.

Personal Data Collection:

As part of our course registration process, we collect certain personal information from you, which may include but is not limited to:

  • Full name,
  • Contact details (address, email address, and telephone number),
  • Professional information (job title, company name, and industry)
  • Course enrolment, progress, quiz results, and certificate completion status (where applicable)

Purpose of Data Sharing

We seek your consent to share your personal data with:

  • Industry partners / sponsors that may subsidise or support your chosen course
  • A third party who has purchased or funded the course on your behalf (e.g., your employer or practice owner)

The purpose of sharing this information is to enable the sponsors to:

  • Sponsors to evaluate the effectiveness and reach of their sponsorship
  • Sponsors to communicate with course attendees regarding relevant products or services
  • Sponsors to provide follow-up information, promotional opportunities, loyalty programmes, or prizes
  • Employers/third-party payers to confirm course utilisation, including enrolment, progress, quiz results and/or certificate completion

If you personally paid for your course, no course progress or assessment information will be shared with any employer or third party.

Data Sharing Details

We will only share the minimum necessary personal data required for the purposes above.

  • Industry partners do not receive financial or sensitive personal information.
  • Employers/third-party payers only receive course enrolment status, progress, quiz results and/or certificate of completion when they are the party who funded the course.

All parties receiving your information are bound by POPIA and may only use your data for the purposes specified.

Data Security

We take data security seriously and have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or destruction.

Consent Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you wish to withdraw your consent for Khula Vet Pty Ltd, or the industry partners to process your personal data, please notify us in writing at michelle@khulavet.co.za. Please note that withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred prior to the withdrawal.

Data Retention

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this consent form, or as required by law.

6. Refunds, Transfers, Cancellations:

Course transfer allowed up to 21 working days before the course start date. One course transfer per enrolment. Cancellations must be received at least 14 working days before the course start date. No refunds for late cancellations, non-attendance, or once course access/material has been provided.

If Khula Vet cancels a course, we will offer:

  • A new date, or
  • A refund, or
  • A credit note

7. Payment Terms

  • Payment due within 30 days from invoice, unless stated otherwise.
  • 50% deposit may be required to secure booking.
  • Remaining balance must be paid before course access or completion.

8. Liability

  • Training content is educational and does not replace clinical judgement.
  • Khula Vet is not liable for loss of revenue, business interruption, indirect or consequential damages.
  • Total liability is limited to R10,000.00, unless prohibited by law.

9. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • Terms are breached
  • Course material is shared or misused
  • Payments are overdue

If access is terminated, you must delete/return all course materials.

By enrolling, you agree to their respective terms of service. These platforms are compliant with industry-standard data protection measures.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms supersede all prior agreements or discussions regarding course enrolment and use of materials.
