You have been assigned to a group (see above).
If you would like to request a swap between groups, this may be arranged from Friday 9 October 2026 onwards. Please allow up to 48 working hours for a response to your request.
Requests should be emailed to info@khulavet.co.za
Please note: It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate the swap. This includes confirming the arrangement with the other student involved and providing the full details of both parties in the email request.
Waiting List
Should there be cancellations, students on the waiting list will be contacted via email and whatsapp in order (1 to 10) and given first option to take up the available place. If there are more cancellations — which we anticipate will be highly unlikely — a new lucky draw will be conducted from the remaining applicants to fill those places.

This is only the beginning…
This elective is a culmination of our love of mentoring, welfare work, and a hope to inspire the future generation of vets to lead in the fight against rabies. We created Khula Outreach to give final-year students the opportunity to engage with vets working in different spheres, so you can gain a clearer picture of what the South African veterinary industry has to offer, and the realities of working and living abroad. Our aim is to help you navigate the learning curves with confidence, embrace both the challenges and the wins, and find your authentic space in this profession so you can thrive.
We wish we could open Khula Outreach to every single applicant. With so much talent and passion among you, choosing is never easy — which is why we use a lucky draw system, to keep the process fair and transparent.
Khula Outreach is just the beginning — we have committed our professional careers to supporting veterinarians and their teams, and that journey starts with you as final-year students.
